Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Washington County, Oregon
The Coffee Creek Correctional Facility is a multi-security facility that includes areas for cell and dormitory housing, inmate work programs, workforce development, education and treatment programs, health services, food services, physical plant equipment, warehouse space for on-site storage, a central records unit, and administration areas. With input from local officials, the Oregon Department of Corrections formed the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility Advisory Committee. This committee includes citizens from local communities that represent a broad cross-section of local areas of interest. The group has provided the department with input on operational issues to minimize negative impacts to surrounding communities. Dolphin System installation on the facility's cooling tower system prevents migration pathways-from air or ground-of hazardous chemicals to communities, since the Dolphin System is chemical-free treatment.
